VLC Media Player challenges India’s prohibition in court.

VideoLAN, the developer behind VLC Media Participant, has issued an authorized discovery to India’s Telecom (DoT) and IT (MeitY) bodies over the block of its platform.

The free and open-source media participant has been silently banned in India since February, in what the supplier describes as a “violation of worldwide obligations to guard free speech” within the nation.
